Picture of the week 03.19.07
It's late, but for a good reason. Here it is. No, no kidding, this is for real:
Pastel and turpentine (top that), 7" x 5"
Now, now. Let me explain. I had an idea that I thought was really, really cool, but it involved several
pictures, and I only had time to do one. So I decided I would wait a day until I could finish the
series. And then I plain chickened out. But I had nothing else to put up this week, and I got to
feeling guilty about it, so here it is. This is the first of a series of three.
I'll finish what I started, and next time around, I'll explain what I was thinking when I started it.
And when you see the end product, keep in mind that it's a, what's the word...a...oh yeah,
an experiment. And therefore, it didn't fail. Because as you recall, there's no such thing as
an experiment that fails. Man, those scientists, they got a racket going, you know it?
They don't have to succeed at anything, and everybody's still all Oh, you're so smart!
Nice work if you can get it, huh.
Well, anyway, I'll finish this experiment and show you the results Monday. You think the
experiment's bad, wait till you see what I'm using as the control. But you're also going to get that
demonstration of a legit painting that I promised you, so surely that's enough, right?
In the meantime, if you happen to be in the mood for, shall we say, unusual entertainment, let me
refer you here. You may consider it a refreshing change from the content of this site...or it may
just strike you as more of the same.
In which case, I'd prefer you didn't tell me.
