Picture of the week 09.10.07
Straight Up Oil, 19" x 12"
As in, "I looked straight up and saw this." Or as in, "No, straight up -- this is what I saw."
Even given the sketchiness of this picture, I'm sure those of you in the know can point out all kinds
of inaccuracies in the rendering of the aircraft. But before you do, let me make a few brief points
in my defense:
1. Here is the sketch I was working from.
2. Here is the sketch at actual size.
3. The aircraft was moving
4. If it doesn't bother you that I moved Venus forty, fifty million miles so it would fit in the composition,
then you probably shouldn't complain about anything else.
