Picture of the week 11.20.06
Sketch for The Remains Pencil, 11" x 6"
This isn't exactly the composition I want to use, and I really should wait a few days longer, too,
until they become more shriveled, but I wanted to get the idea down for later. Most jack-o-lanterns, like the two
little ones to the right,
look sad and horror-stricken at their fate as they begin to decompose, but every
once in a while you get one like the big fella here, who laughs right in your face as he disintegrates.
If you recognize these three pumpkins, well, you wasted too much of your time last month, no?
On the other hand, if you don't recognize them, then I look rather a fool, yes?
What else? Oh, yeah:
Here's how the deer wound up. If you want, you can click on the image to see a larger version.
But here's all I'm going to show you of the Volkswagen right now:
Relax; I know what I'm doing. This is only the first pass to figure out the placement, and cover up
all the white space. Once it's finished, you'll be able to view it on a new page of recent works which I'll be
putting up next week, just as soon as I can think of a name for it less pretentious than "Recent Works."
Have a great Thanksgiving, and I'll be seeing you.
